The purpose of these Aesthetic Guidelines are to ensure that the project aesthetic goals are fulfilled through the use of cohesive design elements for the East Town Crossing Development located at the northeast corner of Highway 13 and Highway 151.

The Marion Enterprise Center (MEC) is an integrated office industrial park intended to accommodate the relocation of industrial properties with the City of Marion's Central Corridor as well as attract new office and industrial development to the City of Marion. The MEC Planned Development Ordinance was developed to ensure standards are in place which creates an aesthetically significant development encouraging low impact and conservation design. Ultimately, the MEC Planned Development Ordinance provides guidance to all development in the Business Park.

In 2010, the Marion Enterprise Center - Planned Development Ordinance & Design Guidelines were adopted as part of the the rezoning of the property. With a majority of the development built-out, and with advances in façade materials the MEDCO revised the Marion Enterprise Center's Planned Development Ordinance and Design Guidelines.

The Neighborhood at Indian Creek is a vision of mixed use development with Midwestern architectural character and a neighborhood feel developed through neo-traditional planning.  A primary feature of the Neighborhood is its walk-ability... the pedestrian takes precedence. This Plan, originally adopted in 2009, underwent a revamp which focused on development trends, external development pressures (new Linn-Mar School, Prospect Meadows, and the Squaw Creek Crossing development), community interests, and changing property ownership while considering future land uses and zoning regulations.
