The CDC has stated that one of the major social determinants of health is having stable and adequate housing. Unstable housing can lead to many challenges in the wellbeing of our residents. The Marion Civil Rights Commission is dedicated to Marion being a strong and vibrant community that is welcome to all. Innovative proposals are sought from organizations and non-profits that have programs dedicated to helping those who are at risk for housing instability and/or address the ripple effects of that instability.
Up to $20,000 is available through the Low & Moderate Income Housing Assistance Grant.
Applications must be submitted through the City of Marion's website.
Do not use the 'back/forward' buttons on your internet browser; instead, use the 'next/previous' buttons within the application (at the bottom of the page) to navigate to other pages. All answers must be submitted at the same time; you will not have the option to save your work and come back to it at a later date.
It is highly recommended that you save your responses in a separate file and copy them into this electronic form to ensure your data isn't lost before submission. For your reference, please review the list of application questions.
Contact Alicia Abernathey, staff liaison, with any questions pertaining to the application process.
