Coffeehouse Nights at Lowe Park

Enjoy a great evening of live music in a small and intimate setting inside the Arts & Environment Center at Lowe Park. Enjoy delicious cookies, treats, and coffee for small cost while taking in the sounds of some great artists and their music. These events are sponsored by the Marion Arts Council.

"POUND" is one of the hottest and most effective exercise classes out there. Best of all, it is being offered for FREE! What do you have to lose? Designed for all fitness levels, "POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable, and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities. No registration required, free-will offering appreciated for instructor(s).

Join us at the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center for nights of fun, socializing, and a chance to win some cash! Games of BINGO will be played for $0.25 per card, per game. Cash prizes are paid to the winner of each game. There will also be a few bonus games with increased payouts before the night concludes with a winner-take-all game of blackout. Participants are welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy while they play. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Seats and cards are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.

Be a Force of Nature

An educational series for those who want to learn how to be environmentally conscious in their home, yard, and community. Expert speakers will highlight practical steps that will save money, reduce waste, and help the community.

On Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Lowe Park, Kelli Kennon-Lane from the Indian Creek Nature Center will provide tips for producing less waste inside the home.

On March 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Marion Public Library, City Arborist Mike Cimprich will speak about identifying trees in your yard, and a seed library will be available to start or add to your home garden.

On April 22 at 5:30 p.m. at Lowe Park, City staff and community partners will give tips for water conservation, getting involved in the community, and more. Learn more

What better way to spend winter nights than to play board games? Learn a new game or teach others your favorite. Join your friends and neighbors at Lowe Park. Feel free to bring food/drink to enjoy while you play. Light refreshments provided.

Bring your thinking caps and useless trivial knowledge to compete against other teams of adults in fun and challenging rounds of trivia. Each night will have its own theme/category or might just be a general trivia encompassing all trivial knowledge. The questions and rounds are organized and presented by Andrew’s Bar Exam. Participants are welcome to bring food and drinks to share with their team. Prizes awarded to the winning teams. A maximum of 8 players allowed on each team. Minimum 6 teams; Maximum 12 teams.

City of Marion Night at the Stable (CR RoughRiders)

LET’S RIDE! Join us for City of Marion Night at the Stable when the RoughRiders duel with the Madison Capitols. Bonus, its dog derby night in the stable! Any Marion employee or resident is eligible to buy discounted tickets for themselves, their family, and friends. Bring the whole family and wear your favorite hockey jersey.
