Klopfenstein Amphitheater for the Performing Arts Amphitheater at Night #1

The Klopfenstein Amphitheater for the Performing Arts is an outdoor amphitheater located within Lowe Park (4500 N 10th Street) and north of the Arts & Environment Center. The multi-functional amphitheater can be used for a variety of events and programs and is available for rental on a first come, first served basis.

The amphitheater project grew out of the Marion Chamber’s Imagine8 community visioning process initiated in 2008. The $1.7 million project received generous support at the local, county and state levels. The venue features a 50-foot wide stage, a sub-stage and an oak leaf-like sculptured canopy made of Corten steel.

Since its 2014 grand opening, the venue has hosted a number of events including Sunrise Yoga, Picnic on the Prairie concerts, the Swamp Fox Festival, an outdoor movie, and several weddings.

Find rate information, or stop by the Recreation Office at Lowe Park to complete the rental process for your event or call 447-3590 for questions regarding availability.
