It is the policy of the City of Marion to prohibit discrimination against any applicant, employee or citizen on the basis of that person's race, color, religion, sex, sexual preference, national origin, political affiliation, age, handicap or any other non-merit factor.

The City of Marion Personnel Policy applies to all city employees except police and fire department employees, unless specifically stated otherwise.  The policy provides employment, promotion and benefits information along with discipline procedures and guidelines, including termination.
