The City of Marion is launching a new volunteer-matching service to assist vulnerable residents in finding the help they need to accomplish tasks such as shoveling, raking or mowing.

United Way of East Central Iowa’s VolunteerNow portal will connect volunteers with those in need of assistance. By integrating this tool directly into the City of Marion website, residents will be connected with neighbors who can assist with simple household services.

This initiative provides a vital source of support for our residents and addresses service needs that have previously gone unmet.

Assistance is available for:

  • Raking leaves
  • Snow removal
