    The Marion Police Department has launched a voluntary program to allow local businesses and residents to register the location of their surveillance cameras. The program is a partnership between the Police Department and the community to jointly combat criminal activity in our neighborhoods.

    Ribbon Cutting set to Celebrate Completion of Inclusive Playground at Lowe Park

    The City of Marion will host a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at 4 p.m. to celebrate the completion and official opening of the community’s first inclusive playground. Located at the south entrance to Lowe Park, 4401 Irish Dr., the playground is designed for children of all abilities.

    The semi-annual installment of property and mobile home tax statements were mailed this week. The first half of property taxes are due September 1. To make payment more convenient, several payment options are available. Property taxes can be paid online, by mail, in person, or over the phone.
