This Saturday’s Music Under the Moon concert featuring “Vegas McGraw,” a tribute to country music superstar Tim McGraw, has been cancelled.
The event was scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, at Lowe Park, 4500 N. 10th Street. It has been cancelled due to the extended rainfall and wet conditions at Lowe Park.
The decision was made with the safety and enjoyment of attendees, performers, vendors and staff in mind.
Music Under the Moon is a free community concert series at Lowe Park, sponsored by Veridian Credit Union and Marion's hotel/motel grant program.

The City of Marion will welcome “Vegas McGraw” to the Klopfenstein Amphitheater at Lowe Park (4500 N. 10th Street, Marion) on Saturday, Aug. 15, as part of its Music Under the Moon concert series sponsored by Veridian Credit Union.
“Vegas McGraw” is a high-energy tribute to country music superstar Tim McGraw, featuring the hits and signature sound that have made McGraw a country music favorite for more than three decades. The tribute show brings the excitement of a Tim McGraw concert to the stage with familiar favorites and an energetic live performance.
The evening will feature free live entertainment, family-friendly activities, food vendors and refreshments in a beautiful outdoor setting.
Activities begin at 6 p.m., with Olivia Rudeen and Zoe Cummins opening the show from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. “Vegas McGraw” will take the stage at 8 p.m. and perform until approximately 9:45 p.m. Following the concert, guests will have the opportunity to meet “Vegas McGraw” and take photos in front of the stage.
Guests can enjoy glitter tattoos, henna tattoos (cash or Venmo accepted), and yard games for all ages. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Hy-Vee, County Line BBQ, Dixon Lemonade, Big A Cookies and Kona Ice.
Big Grove Brewery will once again be serving beverages from the Snack Shack throughout the event. Alcohol sales will end at 9:30 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Well-behaved pets are welcome, and coolers are permitted.
Parking is available in the main lot adjacent to the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center and in the auxiliary lot west of the amphitheater, accessible from Irish Drive off Tower Terrace Road.
