Starting Monday, March 16, 2026, (weather permitting), the 10th Street bridge between Indian Creek Road and Boyson Road will be closed to traffic.

 

Detours will be posted at 10th Street and Boyson Road, Central Avenue and Boyson Road and the 10th Street and Central Avenue/10th Avenue roundabout. The traffic signals at Indian Creek Road and 10th Street will be placed in flashing red mode during this time.

 

The closure is expected to last approximately four to six weeks, weather permitting.

 

The work is associated with segments 4 and 5 of the Sanitary Trunk Sewer project. Crews will replace and upsize the existing 24-inch sanitary sewer trunk to a 36-inch diameter pipe, improving system capacity. The work associated with this closure also includes relocating a gas main.

 

In 2020, the City completed a comprehensive review of the entire sanitary sewer system. These projects were identified as priority improvements to increase capacity, reduce current backups and accommodate future growth.

 

The total project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2026.
