The intersection of  Highway 13/151 is now open to traffic in all directions. The traffic signals are operating as they should.

ORIGINAL POST:

Emergency repairs will begin within the next hour on the traffic signal mast arm at the intersection of Highways 13 and 151. An oversized vehicle made contact with the mast arm of the eastbound traffic signals on Monday and upon further inspection, the pole was compromised and needs to be replaced.

Detours will be posted while the mast arm is removed and temporary signals are installed. The lights at Highway 13/151 and Highway 13/Linn Aire Avenue will operate in flashing red mode as work takes place.

Northbound traffic on Highway 13 and eastbound traffic on Highway 151 will be diverted east on Linn Aire Avenue to 62nd Street, then north to reconnect with Highway 151.

Officers will be assisting with traffic control. Drivers should expect delays and are asked to use patience or find an alternate route as this emergency repair will impact the evening commute.
