Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Police, Fire and other critical City services will continue to be provided.
Garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be collected on Labor Day and the Yard Waste Facility will be closed. Collection will be delayed by one day all week, happening Tuesday through Saturday instead. The Recycling Drop-off Center will be open its regular hours on Saturday, Aug. 30, from 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 2, from noon-5:45 p.m.
Marion Public Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, and will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, Sept. 2. The bookmobile will not run on Monday, Sept. 1; regular routes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
The Marion Pool will close for the season on Sunday, Aug. 31. On Aug. 30-31, lap swim will be from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and open swimming will occur from 1-5 p.m. Marion’s splash pads will remain open through Labor Day. Crews will begin the winterization process later in the month.
Utility payments will be accepted online or via the drive-up drop box located outside the Marion Water Department office, located at 3050 5th Avenue.
