The pre-engineered metal building frame has started to go up on the new Public Service Maintenance Facility located at 4127 3^rd Avenue in Marion. King Construction is the subcontractor that is responsible for the construction of the metal frame and they are scheduled to complete this phase by early August 2023. After that, Mid-States Concrete will install the insulated precast wall systems that will complete the main structure of the facility. The City of Marion has retained Conlon Construction to serve as the construction manager for the project and Shive Hattery to provide engineering and architectural services. Under the current schedule, the facility is scheduled to be completed in June of 2024.
