Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Wednesday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Regular business hours resume on Thursday, Nov. 12. Police, Fire and other critical City services will continue to be provided.
Garbage, recycling and yard waste will be collected according to the normal schedule on Wednesday. The Public Services Facility, Recycling Drop-off Center and Yard Waste Facility, all located at 195 35th Street, will be closed.
Marion Public Library will be closed during regular business hours on Nov. 11 for a staff training day, but the doors will open at 5:00 p.m. for a 5:15 p.m. public charrette/interactive meeting to solicit input on the design of the new library.
Utility payments will be accepted via either drop box located outside City Hall. Drop boxes are located at the building entrance along 6th Avenue and near the 12th Street driveway entrance.
