City Council Appointment Postponed; March 19 Meeting to Occur
The City of Marion has received word that Governor Reynolds intends to extend the 60 day requirement to fill the at large vacancy on Marion City Council. The vacancy is due to the unfortunate passing of at large council member Paul Draper. The appointment will now tentatively occur on April 23.
The appointment and candidate interviews will be removed from today’s agenda. The March 19 City Council meeting will still occur, it will be able to be viewed online. City Council Chambers have been rearranged in accordance with COVID-19 guidance from Linn County Public Health and the State of Iowa.
