Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for Marion Residents
The City of Marion is working closely with the Linn County Emergency Management Agency, Linn County Public Health, and the State of Iowa to ensure the health and safety of our community given the presence of coronavirus in eastern Iowa.
Every effort will be made to keep public spaces available for community use, unless the City is mandated otherwise.
The Marion Public Library is open for business as usual, with enhanced cleaning procedures in place. At this time none of the Library’s programs have been cancelled, but additional measures are in place to protect the safety of patrons.
Community programming will be evaluated on a case by case basis. BINGO Night at Lowe Park on Friday, March 13 has been cancelled.
All City facilities have boosted their regular cleaning routines. However, in the event that you are even mildly ill, please defer any non-essential visits to City buildings.
First responders are following the emergency response protocol as provided by Linn County Emergency Management and the CDC.
