City Offices to Close in Observance of Labor Day
Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours resume on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Police, Fire and other critical City services will continue to be provided.
Marion Public Library will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2.
The end of the season is near for the Marion Swimming Pool. The pool will be open for lap swim only from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. now through Friday and 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Saturday-Monday. Open swim will be from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31-Monday, Sept. 2. Marion’s splash pads will be open through Labor Day and then close for the season on Sept. 3.
Garbage, recycling and yard waste will not be collected on Labor Day. Collection will be one day late all week, taking place Tuesday through Saturday. The Yard Waste Facility will be closed Monday, Sept. 2. The Recycling Drop-off Center will be open its regular hours Saturday, Aug. 31 from 8 a.m.-4:15 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 3 from noon-5:45 p.m.
Utility payments will be accepted online or via either drop box located outside City Hall. Drop boxes are located at the building entrance along 6th Avenue and near the 12th Street driveway entrance.
