City Council Office Hours Continue, Mayor Adds Monthly Coffee
As part of their ongoing commitment to connect with residents, Marion City Council members continue to hold regular office hours. Every Saturday one or more council members are available to interact with residents between 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the lobby of the Marion Public Library, 1095 6th Avenue.
“Communication and community outreach are important,” said Mayor Nicolas AbouAssaly. “We want to meet people where they are and invite residents to share ideas and ask questions of their elected officials.”
In addition, Mayor AbouAssaly invites all Marion residents for coffee and conversation the last Saturday of each month from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Marion Hy-Vee, 3600 Bus. Hwy. 151. The first coffee will take place this Saturday, Oct. 28. A table will be reserved in the dining area.
