Marion Civil Rights Commission Available for Speaking Engagements
The City of Marion's Civil Rights Commission envisions a Marion community that is welcoming, inclusive, and preserves the personal dignity of all people, particularly in the areas of employment, housing, credit, public accommodations and education.
The commission has created a speakers bureau that is available upon request to speak to community groups, students, and professional associations about its role in the community and its work to stand up to discrimination in the areas mentioned above.
Presentations are typically 20 minutes in length, with an opportunity for questions to follow. Topic and presentation length can be tailored to a group’s interests and needs. To inquire, please contact Amanda Kaufman at 319-743-6303 or email.
