DESCRIPTION:<div><a name="x__Hlk187938167" data-olk-copy-source="MessageBody">The City of Marion is developing a&nbsp;stormwater&nbsp;master plan to mitigate future flooding risk in Marion. It is important that current&nbsp;stormwater&nbsp;and drainage infrastructure be adequately maintained and/or improved to accommodate the growing population and mitigate future problems, such as flooding, streambank erosion, damage to property and poor water quality.</a></div><div aria-hidden="true">&nbsp;</div><div>City officials are inviting the community to a public open house to learn about updates to Marion’s&nbsp;stormwater&nbsp;master plan project. The open house will be on Monday, May 11, from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Marion Public Works Facility, 202 44th Street.</div><div aria-hidden="true">&nbsp;</div><div>Representatives from the City and its engineering consultant will be on hand to answer questions. There is no formal presentation planned, residents can come and go as they please.</div><div aria-hidden="true">&nbsp;</div><div>The&nbsp;stormwater&nbsp;master plan is being done in three phases.</div><ul>    <li>Phase 1: Phase 1 is complete and included evaluating the current state of the system.</li>    <li>Phase 2: Currently, in Phase 2, the City and project team will review modeling results and begin planning for potential improvements.</li>    <li>Phase 3: During Phase 3, a complete evaluation and plan will be finalized.
