City officials are inviting the community to a public open house to learn about updates to Marion’s stormwater master plan project. The open house will be on Monday, May 11, from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Marion Public Works Facility, 202 44th Street.
Representatives from the City and its engineering consultant will be on hand to answer questions. There is no formal presentation planned, residents can come and go as they please.
The stormwater master plan is being done in three phases.
- Phase 1: Phase 1 is complete and included evaluating the current state of the system.
- Phase 2: Currently, in Phase 2, the City and project team will review modeling results and begin planning for potential improvements.
- Phase 3: During Phase 3, a complete evaluation and plan will be finalized. Once the stormwater master plan is complete, the City will use it as a tool to guide infrastructure investments in Marion.
