ACTION PLAN 

The Marion Water Department creates a Two-Year Action Plan that prioritizes and determines the department’s goals and capital project work load.  The board adopts this plan with milestones for the staff to complete.  The plan is a working document and is updated as priority and needs change.

WATER CONSERVATION PLAN

In order to protect the health and safety of our community water supply, Marion and Cedar Rapids have created a comprehensive Water Conservation Plan to address potential water shortages due to drought conditions or equipment failure. Please refer to the plan for more information.   

MONTHLY WATER DISTRIBUTION REPORTS

The distribution crew prepares a monthly report that highlights the work load accomplished each month.  The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) also requires monthly water pumpage and water sampling reports to be submitted.  These are available upon request.

WATER QUALITY REPORTS

The Marion Water Department, in compliance with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act, is providing its customers with its annual water quality report (CCR-Consumer Confidence Report).  This report explains where your water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to standards set by regulatory agencies.  For further information about your drinking water, you may call the Water Department Office at 319-743-6310.
