CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS OUT FOR BIDSILURIAN WELL 10
Construct Silurian Well 10 including all materials, labor and equipment necessary to construct production well including mobilization, Well Water Pollution Prevention Plan, 23" drill hole, 18" drill hole, 11" drill hole, installing 12" steel casing pipe, cement grouting, bentonite sealing, well development and test pumping; acidizing, disinfection, water quality testing; excavation, backfill, and sitework; seeding and miscellaneous associated work including cleanup.
Sealed proposals will be received by the Marion Municipal Water Department in the office of the Secretary to the Board of Trustees at City Hall, 1225 6th Avenue, Suite 150, Marion, Iowa until 2:00 p.m. on the 1st day of December, 2016. Proposals will be acted upon by said Water Department at the Dec. 13 Board of Trustees meeting or at such later time and place as then may be fixed.
INFORMATION FOR DEVELOPERS AND CONTRACTORS
The Marion Municipal Water Works are governed by the Rules and Regulations Governing the Municipal Water Works in the City of Marion.
Please use the Marion Water Department Water Main Application Form for all new water main installations in Marion. Please have this filled out along with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) water schedule forms when the plan of improvements plan sets are initially submitted for department review and comments. There is a $50 charge for plan review per application.
Our Schedule of Fixed Charges covers current fees for meters, service calls and various other charges. Some of the most common fees are:
$150 per tap plus materials on all new water mains. Water department installs taps up to 2" in diameter.
$225 + tax for new 3/4" water meter for all new homes and businesses (price depends on meter size)
$0.75 per linear foot for new water main installation or $500 minimum charge which covers inspection and
