The City of Marion provides single stream curbside recycling for all solid waste customers.

Residents are asked to utilize city issued recycling containers for only acceptable single stream recycling items. This Public Service Collection Information handout provides an overview what is/isn't accepted curbside.

Cardboard must be cut down to 2 x 2 foot square. Large quantities should be bundled with twine or tape. Residents are issued one recycling container (at no cost) and have their choice of an 18 gallon or 32 gallon single stream collection container. The containers are issued to the residential unit and must remain at the address it has been issued to.

There is no limit to the number of City issued recycling containers you may set out each week. Additional recycling containers can be purchased at the Public Services Department.

  • 18 gallon containers- $11.00
  • 32 gallon containers- $20.00

Questions relating to garbage and recycling collection may be directed to the Public Services office by email or by calling 319-377-6367.
