B-I-N-G-O Nights at Lowe Park OPEN TO ALL AGES
Join us at the Lowe Park Arts & Environment Center for nights of fun, socializing, and a chance to win some cash! Games of BINGO will be played for $.25 per card, per game. Cash prizes are paid to the winner of each game. There will also be a few bonus games with increased payouts. The night will conclude with a winner take-all game of blackout. Participants are welcome to bring food and drinks to enjoy while they play. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Seats and cards are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.

Spend the day in the Hawkeye State's capital and get a little taste of some summer favorites...Iowa Cubs baseball and the Iowa State Fair! Take in a noon game as the Iowa Cubs battle the Salt Lake Bees at Principal Park. Your fee includes reserved grandstand seating during the game. After the game, zip on over to the state fair grounds to get of taste of what the Iowa State Fair has to offer. Don't miss the famous butter cow or your chance to try something tasty on a stick. There is sure to be something the catches your attention at the Iowa State Fair.

Trip 4: The NFL Experience (game announced spring 2019)
Spend an afternoon at one of the mid-west's best stadiums to watch a couple of NFL giants battle on the gridiron. Possible destinations include Soldier Field (Chicago), Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City), or US Bank Stadium (Minneapolis). Information will be released in the spring of 2019 as NFL schedules are finalized and released to the public.

Fish Iowa! Free Fishing Weekend
OPEN TO ALL AGES (IOWA RESIDENTS ONLY)
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) hosts free fishing weekend for Iowa residents only during the first Friday, Saturday and Sunday of June (7, 8, 9). Get out and enjoy the waterways and give fishing a try on this free fishing weekend. All fishing regulations must be obeyed during your fishing outing. Marion Parks and Recreation is not able to host a fishing clinic this year, but please check the Iowa DNR's website at www.iowadnr.gov for more information, programs, popular fishing locations, and rules and regulations for fishing in Iowa.

Peddling Thru The Parks OPEN TO ALL AGES Saturday, June 15 10a.m. Thomas Park
The Friends of the Marion Parks want you to enjoy one of Marion's greatest amenities...the trails! Ride the bike trails that start at Thomas Park. There are five trails starting in Thomas Park that go to Hanna Park (1.6 miles round trip), Donnelly Park (Boyson Trail, 2.5 miles round trip), Lindale Trail, (1.5 to 4 miles round trip), Krumboltz Trail (2.5
miles). Bike the trails as a family and earn stamps at the turnaround of each trail. There will be prizes for everyone participating. Please wear a helmet and meet at the main pavilion in Thomas Park any time after 10 a.m. All participants must complete the ride by 2 p.m. to receive prizes. Water and granola bars will be provided.
City of Marion Day at the Ballpark OPEN TO ALL MARION RESIDENTS
What is better than a summer day at the ballpark? The answer...a discounted summer day at the ballpark! Join other Marion residents and help pack the ballpark for City of Marion Day with the Kernels as they battle the Clinton LumberKings. Kids 12 and under eat free that day, and are given a voucher at the main gate for a hot dog, popcorn, and a drink. Additionally, kids can run the bases, play catch in the outfield, and get autographs from the Kernels players after the game.

Friends of the Parks Scavenger Hunt OPEN TO ALL AGES June 1-August9
Visit four (4) Marion Parks and identify the items on the scavenger hunt sheets. Cross off each item as you find them. Turn in your completed forms and any photos/selfies of your family completing the scavenger hunt at the Parks Office in Lowe Park. Scavenger Hunt forms can be picked up at the Lowe Park Office, City Hall or printed from the Marion Parks website beginning June 1. Prizes awarded when forms are turned in. Forms must be turned in on or before August 9 to receive prizes.

NEW! Happening at Hanna (park)! OPEN TO ALL AGES Saturday, August 8, 1-4p.m. Hanna Park
The Friends of the Marion Parks will be showcasing Hanna Park this summer. Besides the many amenities this beautiful 15 acre park has to offer, activities are planned to involve all ages including: rock painting, table games, both an alphabet and pictorial scavenger hunt, soap bubble blowing, and bag toss game. Join the fun and enjoy the playground
equipment and sandbox area. Hanna Park has an accessible play area for children, including a ramp for wheelchairs.
