Amphitheater at Night #2In 2014, Marion celebrated the grand opening of the Klopfenstein Amphitheater for the Performing Arts. The venue is situated north of the Arts and Environment Center at Lowe Park.

The amphitheater project grew out of the Marion Chamber’s Imagine8 community visioning process initiated in 2008. The $1.7 million project received generous support at the local, county and state levels. The venue features a 50-foot wide stage, a sub-stage and an oak leaf-like sculptured canopy made of Corten steel.
