PURPOSE:The Marion Park Board advises City Council on the needed facilities and programs to provide open space such as parks, playgrounds, swimming pools and community facilities for other forms of recreation. It also plans and oversees City programs and encourages other programs for the leisure time of the City's residents of all ages. It manages all such facilities and the Oakshade Cemetery.
ABOUT THE BOARD:
The Marion Park Board is made up of five (5) members appointed to a four (4) year term. Board members must be residents of Marion.

The Park Board meets the second Wednesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at the Parks Administrative & Operations Building at Thomas Park. All meetings are open to the public.
