ROAD CLOSURE: 31st Street Rehabilitation Project to Begin Monday
Beginning Monday, Sept. 11 Eastern Iowa Excavating & Concrete will begin the 31st Street Rehabilitation Project from 1st Avenue to 3rd Avenue.
The project includes concrete patching, diamond grinding, crack and joint sealing, as well as sidewalk ramp removal and replacement. The contractor will close both lanes to traffic for this project.
They plan to complete the street patches and rehabilitation work associated with this project one lane at a time beginning with the northbound lane.
While the northbound lane is being worked on, the southbound lane will be open to residents on 31st Street only. Once the northbound lane is complete, the contractor will begin work on the southbound lane. While the southbound lane is being worked on, residents on 31st Street will not have vehicular access.
A detour has been established.
The contractor has been allotted 20 working days for this project.
