  • aerial view of Tower Terrace Road City Offices to Close in Observance of Upcoming Holidays

    Marion City Hall and other City offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 24 and Tuesday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Regular business hours resume on Wednesday, Dec. 26. City offices will also be closed on Monday, Dec. 31 and Tuesday, Jan. 1 in observance of the New Year’s holiday.

    The City of Marion is requesting proposals from parties interested in acquiring and relocating two properties; 525 11th Street and 520 12th Street in Marion. Tours will be available upon request the week of Jan. 7, 2019. Responses are due by Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019.

  • banner 1 Ribbon Cutting Set for December 12 to Celebrate Progress on Grant Wood Trail

    A ribbon cutting will be held Dec. 12 to celebrate the completion of two new segments of Grant Wood Trail stretching from 31st Street east to Highway 13. It will take place at 12:30 p.m. on the trail near the intersection of 35th Street and 4th Avenue, north of the Centex station in Marion.
